“My passion and interest in hair goes back to when I was a child. I remember learning how to plait my own hair at the age of 7 from a “DIY Hairstyles” book I had been gifted for my birthday - this really sparked my interest in hair and it’s just been developing ever since.

I have done a lot of different things since leaving school and I have learnt various skills over the years including being Performance Theatre Trained which led me to study Theatrical Media Hair and Makeup at the age of 19. There I was taught how to style hair from Bridal styles to Wig setting. This helped hugely to set a strong foundational knowledge and led me into going on to study Hairdressing.

I love to colour hair and it brings me such joy and satisfaction to see an end result and see how happy I can make some feel about themselves. Bold colours and fun creative looks are my favourite, but any opportunity to do any hair service that makes my client leave the salon thinking “I look goooooood!” is very satisfying.

As a stylist who loves to use heated tools to create finished looks, I can’t recommend a heat protection spray enough, especially if you have any sort of colour on your hair. Healthy hair is the best kind of hair and having that protection is vital to achieving that. Kevin Murphy’s collection of Blow Dry sprays are my go-to with any client. Whether you want a smooth look or something with loads of volume, a spray that incorporates heat protection with a setting element to it is genius and up there in my list of favourite products to use.
