“I have been a stylist for just shy of 25 years…I am 42 now! I was originally doing an apprenticeship as a chippy and had never thought about being a hairdresser but I met a guy who owned a hair salon and he inspired me to give it a shot. He sent me up to London to Vidal Sassoon and the first day I picked up a pair of scissors I knew this was my calling…

The best thing about being a hairdresser is that I love having the power to make somebody feel great and to be able to give them their own personal style, keep them and me inspired as well as take them on a hair journey.

I love working with hair in general so any texture excites me…being able to create subtle or strong shapes using styling only or creative clever hair cutting techniques to suit that individual, I’m always up for a challenge.

I think I am a creative, safe pair of hands with a great eye for details, textures and face shapes. Because I’m constantly travelling the world doing shows and seminars, I am full of ideas to excite you and of course I have a lot of experience! I am also a good listener, for me the consultation is so important before the journey begins so you’ll never be worried or anxious sitting in my chair - you can just enjoy the hair journey with me.

I would say my specialities are Bobs, crops and long hair. My signature haircut would be dropped out waves with broken edges on long hair maybe with a soft fringe or some small details to enhance features.

Currently, I would of loved to cut cool girl Jenny Ortegas hair off as her new look is such a vibe. But back in the day, I would have loved to have got my scissors on Twiggy’s hair, Jean Seberg or Linda Evangelista.

My go to products tend to be texture sprays and styling creams as I love the softness of undone looks “lived in hair”.
