"Pilau takes the delicious flavours of Indian street food and puts them in wrap"
A fresh summer pop up in Soho, chefs and friends Ollie and George have created a simple yet delicious staple lunch. Filling and full of flavour a Pilau wrap consists of a hot flour chapatti style wrap with a layer of pilau rice (hence the name) and the option of Butter Chicken, Spiced Paneer or Lamb and Marrow topped with numerous toppings and choices of sauce.
Past Pilau temporary pop-ups include Old Street station, Leicester Square and Shoreditch, but Soho is their first go at a bricks and mortar site with a relaxed dine in restaurant also offering a take away service.
Their pop-up Soho residency on Peter Street is going down a storm with its unique interior and reasonably priced wraps and the guys themselves seem excited to be back where it all began professionally for them both as chefs - Ollie (ex-Polpo Group) and George (formerly of Quo Vadis and Holborn Dining Room) have created a little taste of India in London's food Mecca - Soho.
We are hoping they stick around in Soho for a while and plant their roots down firmly!
To visit Pilau head down Berwick Street to find the restaurant on the corner of Peter Street and Walker's Court (conveniently next to The Lounge Soho!), or visit the website for more information and to sign up to their newsletter.
